Approaches to the Economization of Cultural Heritage in Context of Destination Management in the Czech Republic

Abstract:
Cultural monuments are one of the strongest stakeholders at the regional level of tourism in the
Czech Republic. There is a huge potential for cooperation between destination management and
cultural monuments at the regional level. However, these possibilities are not fully established
yet. The article is based on the survey conducted among managers of cultural monuments in the
selected region of the Czech Republic to demonstrate the importance of cooperation between
these two subjects. On the basis of the survey and analysis of the possibilities of cooperation
between tourism industry and cultural monuments at the regional level, the new ways of cooperation
are recommended.
